Allegedly Infected from the son-in-law, A Kerambitan Resident Tested Positive For Covid-19

In Tabanan, Covid-19 local transmission case occurred again. Chief of Tabanan Task Force for Accelerating the Handling of Covid-19 (GTPP) through his spokesperson who is also the Head of the Communication and Information System, Putu Dian Setiawan said, there are currently 3 additional people who have been confirmed positive for the disease.
Of these 3 people, 2 of them are local residents and one Indonesian Migrant Worker (PMI) who has just returned to Bali. With the addition of these 3 positive cases, the number of confirmed COVID-19 patients in Tabanan is 12 people.
He further said that patients who infected from local transmission are residents from Kerambitan and West Selemadeg sub-districts. The patients currently are being treated at Sanglah Hospital and at one of the private hospitals in Denpasar. Meanwhile the patient from Kerambitan was allegedly infected from the patient’s son-in-law who worked in one of the hospitals in Denpasar. While for the case in West Selemadeg is a new case. “Meanwhile, the migrant worker who was confirmed positive for COVID-19 was treated at Bapelkesmas,” he said on Thursday (June 11).
He said, related to 2 additional cases of local transmission, the Health Task Force had directly carried out tracing of those who had contact with the patients. As for the results of swab tests for tracing from patients who are medical staffs in the Health Office and in the West Selemadeg region, the results are all negative. Considering the increasing cases of local transmissions in the Tabanan Regency, the GTPP continues to call the community to remain calm and always adhere the government’s recommendations related to health protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
