Implementation of the New Era Order, Governor Koster Will Enforce Three Stages Starting On July 9

The stages for the continuity of community life in Bali are divided into three stages. The first stage, the activities will be carried out in a limited and selective manner only for the Balinese people, starting on 9 July 2020 which coincided with the good day, on Kamis Umanis Sinta (according to the Balinese calendar). For this first stage, according to the direction of the National Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19, the implementation of the New Era of Life Order is limited to the health sector, government offices, customs and religion, finance, industry, trade, logistics, transportation, cooperatives, MSMEs, traditional markets, modern markets, restaurants and stalls.
For agriculture, plantations, marine/ fisheries, and animal husbandry as well as services and construction. Whereas the education sector and the tourism sector have not yet been enacted. For the Education Sector awaits the policy of the Minister of Education and Culture.
Second stage, the activities will be carried out more broadly, including the tourism sector, but only limited to domestic tourists, starting July 31, 2020 which coincides with Jumat, Pon, Kulantir (according to the Balinese calendar).
Third stage, the activities will be carried out more broadly in the tourism sector including for foreign tourists, starting on September 11, 2020 which coincides with Jumat, Kliwon, Sungsang, Sugihan Bali (according to the Balinese calendar), 42 days period or Abulan Pitung Dina in the Balinese terms of the Second Stage on July 31, 2020 .
Governor Koster said that the three stages were a platform that was expected to run smoothly, well, and successfully with permission, blessing, guidance, and protection of Ida Bhatara Bhatari Sasuhunan or the God Almighty, Ancestors, what so called Lelangit, and Holy Teachers. “For that we surrender fully and sincerely, while begging to the God to deign to give the best gift to all of us,” he said.
According to the Governor, the Yadnya Pamahayu Jagat Ceremony which was held on Sunday was an devotion and expressing our gratitude for his gift so that the handling of COVID-19 in the Province of Bali had gone well. “Through the Yadnya Pamahayu Jagat Ceremony, we ask for permission, blessing, guidance, and protection of Ida Bhatara Bhatari Sasuhunan, the God Almighty, so that he is pleased to give the best gift and the three stages can run smoothly and successfully with the adoption of what so called the New Era of Life Order Protocol in Bali,” He explained.
In order for all of these stages to go according to the expectations and the God’s blessings, the Provincial Government of Bali has issued Circular Number 3355 of 2020 concerning the New Era of Life Order Protocol which regulates provisions in various sectors of life. This Circular was signed by the Governor in the morning before leaving for Besakih Temple.
“I request to all Balinese people to carry out activities in these three stages by applying the New Era of Life Order Protocol in an orderly, disciplined and responsible manner, such as: always wearing a mask/ face shield, keeping a distance, not crowding, always washing hands, and maintaining Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS), as well as maintaining endurance,” he asked.
