Tabanan Regent Will Close Back Tourist Destinations Ignoring New Normal Health Protocols
TABANAN – baliprawara.com
Starting Monday (July 20), five tourist destinations in the Tabanan Regency area were officially reopened for local tourist visits. The reopening of the five tourist destinations was carried out after four months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The five tourist destinations that have been reopened are Ulun Danu Beratan, Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden, Jatiluwih, Tanah Lot, and The Blooms Garden.
After the reopening of these five tourist destinations, we will wait for the plan to reopen three other tourist destinations, namely the Penatahan Penebel Hot Spring, Yeh Gangga Sudimara Tabanan Beach and Soka Beach, Antap Selemadeg. However, currently the plan to reopen three other tourist destinations is still waiting for the fulfillment of the required certification requirements in the new normal concept, especially in accordance with the provisions set by the Tabanan regency, namely Safe and Productive, mainly infrastructure facilities for health protocol.
In the sidelines of the reopening of the Ulun Danu Beratan tourist destination, Tabanan Regent Ni Putu Eka Wiryastutin accompanied by the Head of the Tabanan Tourism Office I Gede Sukanada said, for local tourists, the community was still reminded to comply with health protocols. She stressed that although the five tourist destinations have been declared eligible to meet the certification requirements in the era of the new life order, the task force team will continue to conduct evaluations.
However, it is not impossible if these attractions can be closed again if they are unable to maintain the health protocol or ignore health procedures in accordance with previously required. In this case, the team from the task force will also continue to provide guidance so that the tourist destinations do not become a cluster of COVID-19 transmission. “I ask the tourism service as an intense leading sector for evaluation, if there is a violation of health procedures, it must be closed,” he said.
Meanwhile, for other tourist objects in Tabanan, Regent Eka asked the Tourism office to “pick up the ball,” so that they immediately equip themselves with health procedures according to the established requirements.
For a visit to Ulun Danu Beratan tourist attraction, through its operational manager I Wayan Mustika claimed not to dare to set targets. To attract visitors, it also applies a package system and offers an entrance ticket discount of 20 percent. This discount program, he said, applies during the transition period from the reopening of the Ulun Danu Beratan area to the end of August. (MBP1)
