 Four Months Without Visitors, Ulun Danu Tourist Destination Has A Loss of 12 Billion

Since it was temporarily closed for four months, the number of tourist visits at Ulun Danu Beratan Tourist Destination, which are usually crowded by visitors, has drastically decreased. Besides that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the amount of revenue from retribution has also fallen.

Ulun Danu Beratan Tourist Destination operational manager, I Wayan Mustika said that during the four-month closure, Ulun Danu Beratan Tourist Destination has lost revenue to 12 Billion rupiah. Whereas, he said, at the time before the COVID-19 pandemic or during normal conditions, the amount of income per year could reach 36 Billion rupiah per year. “For four months, we lost 12 Billion rupiah income or an average of 3 billion per month during normal conditions or before the COVID-19 Pandemic,” he said during the reopening of five tourist destinations in Tabanan, Monday (July 20) by the Regent of Tabanan Eka Wiryastuti.

For the number of visits after the reopening, his party cannot set a target. To attract visitors, it also applies a package system and offers an entrance ticket discount of 20 percent. This discount program, he said, applies during the transition period from the reopening of the Ulun Danu Beratan area to the end of August.

As it is known, five tourist destinations in the Tabanan Regency, officially reopened for local tourist visits since Monday (July 20). The reopening of the five tourist destinations was carried out after four-month closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The five tourist destinations that have been reopened are Ulun Danu Beratan Tourist Destination, Eka Karya Bali Botanical Garden, Jatiluwih Tourist Destination, Tanah Lot Tourist Destination, and The Blooms Garden.

After the reopening of these five tourist destinations, we will wait for the plan to reopen three other tourist destinations, namely the Penatahan Penebel Hot Springs, Yeh Gangga Sudimara Beach of Tabanan and Soka Beach, Antap Selemadeg. However, currently the plan to reopen three other tourist destinations is still waiting for the fulfillment of the required certification requirements in the what so called New Adaptation concept, especially in accordance with the provisions set by the Tabanan Regency, which are Safe and Productive, mainly infrastructure facilities for health protocol.
