 The First Day of Tourism Reopening For Domestic Tourists, Ngurah Rai Airport Welcomes 89 Passengers

Deputy Governor of Bali, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati accompanied by Co. General Manager of Commercial PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Rahmat Adil Indrawan, welcomed the arrival of domestic tourists who arrived via Garuda Indonesia flight GA402 from Jakarta, Friday (July 31).

A total of 89 passengers on GA402 flight arrived in Bali on the first day of tourism reopening for domestic tourists. Arrived at 10.18 Central Indonesia Time, dozens of passengers were greeted with a procession of flower-bearing by the Deputy Governor of Bali, the management of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), as well as the leaders of the airport community agencies.

Deputy Governor of Bali, Cok Ace, hopes the return of domestic tourists’ confidence in the resort island. He hopes that this will be a good start for Bali in the future. “What we are important now is how to instill the confidence of domestic tourists in Bali as a tourism destination. This is very important,” he said.

Responding to the entry procedure for tourists, Deputy Governor Cok Ace stated that it serves as a promotional strategy as well as an effort to provide comfort for tourists. “Both succeed. Instead, they provide guarantees, as well as to eliminate and suppress the worst possible things to happen, both for Balinese and tourists. When the rules are applied, it will give a picture for tourists that Bali are comfortable and safe,” he added.

Meanwhile, Rahmat Adil welcomed the reopening of Bali tourism for domestic tourists. He viewed that the policy was a very positive thing. “Bali tourism has been affected for quite a long time from the COVID-19 pandemic, so that many sectors, especially the lives of Balinese, are affected.
