Passengers at Ngurah Rai Airport on domestic routes that are served during the weekend holiday period from August 14-16, 2020 have experienced growth. It can be seen if we compared to the Eid al-Adha holiday period July 31- August 2, 2020.

“Since August 14, 2020, we have experienced a notable increase in passengers, approximately 1.000 to 1.500 passengers per day, which also coincides with the August 17 long holiday,” said PTS General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Rahmat Adil Indrawan, Monday (August 17).

Rahmat said that during the holiday period of Eid al-Adha on July 31 to August 2, 2020, there were 6.394 passengers on domestic routes entering Bali via airplane. Of that number, there were 2.131 on average passengers who arrived during the 3 days. Meanwhile, during the weekend holiday period, August 14-16, there were 11.181 passengers arriving in Bali via domestic routes. Where an average of 3.727 passengers per day are served at the Domestic Arrival Terminal.

“When it compared, there is a growth of 75%, and there is an average daily growth of 1.596 passengers in the comparison of the two weekend holiday periods,” he added.

Meanwhile, in the series of commemoration of the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at the airport, the management of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) as the airport manager also held the ARFF Challenge activity. In this activity, the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) unit held a series of personnel agility competitions aimed at improving personnel quality and teamwork.

“The goal is to train Airport Fire Service personnel, so that they can be agile, fast, and responsive in evacuation and extinguishing if there is an accident. By doing this, we are constantly improving the performance of our firefighters,” continued Rahmat Adil. (MBP1)
