After Covid-19 Case Confirmed, Dozens of Traders in Badung Market Underwent Swab Test

West Denpasar Health Center I together with Regional Public Company (Perumda) of Sewakadarma Market, Saturday (June 6), held a swab test for traders in Badung Market on Saturday (June 6). This medical examination was carried out after two Badung Market traders have been tested positive for Covid-19.
A total of 19 traders who were in a radius of 10 meters from the stalls of traders exposed to Covid-19 took this swab test. Managing Director of Denpasar City Sewakadarma Market I.B. Kompyang Wiranata explained that this activity was a screening effort in response to the presence of two traders in the Badung Market who were tested positive for Covid-19 the day before. In addition to ensuring the health conditions of traders around, this is also an effort to provide a sense of security and comfort and health for visitors and traders of Badung Market.
“After coordinating with the West Denpasar Health Center I, we immediately carried out a swab test for traders within a 10 meter radius from the location of the traders’ stalls which were previously tested positive for Covid-19,” he said
Furthermore, the man who is familiarly called Guskowi explained, the location of traders who tested positive for Covid-19 was temporarily closed for 14 days. Meanwhile, stalls next to a radius of 10 meters will be temporarily closed for 3 days. This closure while awaiting the results of traders’ medical tests.
If all the results are negative, traders who underwent swab test will be allowed to reopen their stalls. The authority will also carry out spraying disinfectants every day in the market area to ensure the safety of the region from the potential development of the virus. (MBP1)
