Buktikan Keseriusan di Tengah Pandemi, SMK Pariwisata Dalung Gelar Praktek Kerja Lapangan di Hotel

Pandemi secara langsung merubah tatanan kehidupan dan kebiasaan masyarakat. Begitu pula proses belajar mengajar dalam dunia pendidikan turut serta menyesuaikan. Pelaksanaan On The Job Training siswa kelas XI SMK Pariwisata Dalung selama masa pandemi dikemas dalam Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) bekerja sama dengan The Jayakarta Bali, Hotel berbintang 4 di daerah Legian.
On The Job Training merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pendidikan di jenjang SMK, dimana siswa mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menunjukkan keahlian yang dipelajari di sekolah pada dunia industri secara langsung.
Pelaksanaan On The Job Training siswa SMK Pariwisata Dalung dilaksanakan selama 1 semester (6 bulan) dengan mengambil bidang sesuai kompetensi siswa masing-masing. Namun, dengan merebaknya Pandemi Covid-19 sejak tahun lalu, pelaksanaan On The Job Training siswa ikut terdampak, siswa langsung ditarik dari dunia industri untuk menekan penyebaran virus Covid-19. Pembelajaran konvensional berubah menuju pembelajaran online, hal ini telah berlangsung selama 1 Tahun.
Dengan diterbitkannya Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 50 Tahun 2020 tentang Praktek Kerja Lapangan (PKL) pada 30 Desember 2020, maka SMK Pariwisata Dalung mengemas On The Job Training dalam PKL dengan melibatkan Dunia Industri Perhotelan dengan standar Hotel Berbintang 4. Kerja sama pelaksanaan PKL ini akhirnya dilaksanakan dengan The Jayakarta Bali.
Kebijakan SMK Pariwisata Dalung dalam pelaksanaan PKL siswa adalah sebagai bukti keseriusan SMK Pariwisata Dalung dalam membentuk calon-calon hotelier yang siap bekerja di Dunia Industri Perhotelan. Sesuai dengan program keahlian yang dibuka di SMK Pariwisata Dalung yaitu Perhotelan untuk Front Office dan Housekeeping, Kuliner untuk Food and Beverage Product dan Food and Beverage Service.
Sebanyak 211 siswa SMK Pariwisata Dalung dari Program Keahlian Perhotelan dan Tata Boga mengikuti PKL di The Jayakarta Bali mulai dari 17 Maret 2021. Pelaksanaan PKL didahului dengan pembekalan Grooming dan performance siswa melalui program beauty class yang melibatkan tim Mustika Ratu. Selain itu, dari segi kesehatan juga dilakukan Rapid Test untuk siswa yang akan mengikuti PKL. Selain pelaksanaan Protokol Kesehatan dengan pemakaian masker, hands glove dan pengecekan suhu tubuh.
Kepala SMK Pariwisata Dalung, Ni Putu Trisnawati,S.Pd menyatakan dengan pelaksanaan PKL bekerja sama dengan The Jayakarta Bali merupakan salah satu langkah yang diambil oleh Lembaga untuk tetap memberikan pengalaman nyata praktek di dunia industri. “tentu suasana dan rasa praktek di sekolah dan langsung di hotel berbeda. Ini yang ingin kita berikan kepada siswa. Real hotel itu seperti apa, walaupun pandemi, jangan sampai mengurangi kualitas pendidikan” ujar Trisna.
Di pihak lain, General Manager The Jayakarta Bali, Agus Tabah Wardana menyambut baik program kerja sama dengan SMK Pariwisata Dalung karena dengan adanya sinkronisasi antara dunia pendidikan dan dunia industri akan mampu meningkatkan kualitas SDM di dunia pariwisata. “tentunya lulusan nanti akan siap pakai, mereka sudah beradaptasi dengan dunia kerja. Sudah paham tentang role play seperti apa,” papar GM The Jayakarta Bali.
Adanya kerja sama antara SMK Pariwisata Dalung dengan The Jayakarta Bali dalam program PKL adalah juga implementasi “perkawinan” antara dunia pendidikan dan dunia industri. Hal ini adalah salah satu contoh kesiapan SMK Pariwisata Dalung dan The Jayakarta Bali dalam menyelenggarakan Kelas Industri kedepannya. Kelas Industri adalah jawaban untuk mewujudkan lulusan SMK yang langsung terserap dunia kerja, tidak lagi menjadi pengangguran.
Sementara, I Ketut Suanaya selaku Ketua Pembina Yayasan Pendidikan Pariwisata Bali Dwipa yang sekaligus pendiri SMK Pariwisata Dalung memaparkan bahwa dengan adanya kelas industry, kualitas SDM lulusan akan sangat terukur, lulusan pun akan siap diterima di dunia kerja. “ini merupakan realisasi dari Visi SMK Pariwisata Dalung, yaitu Link and Match. Sekolah tanpa dunia industri akan susah dalam meningkatkan kualitas, dan sebaliknya kalau dunia industri tidak bekerja sama dengan sekolah dari wala, ketika memerlukan SDM akan susah juga, karena standar nya tidak sesuai, bingung juga nanti” ujar Ketut Suanaya.
