KSPN Transportation And Electric Buses Start To Be Tested, Travel Around Bali For Free Until End Of The Year

The Bali Provincial Government, Friday (November 6) officially launched a trial for the implementation of the Bali National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN) transportation and the use of electric buses. Located at the office of the Governor of Bali, Jayasabha, Denpasar, the launch ceremony was carried out directly by the Governor of Bali, Wayan Koster, marked by a flag waving.
According to the Head of the Bali Provincial Transportation Agency, I Gde Wayan Samsi Gunarta, the KSPN transport will offer free of charge travel until the end of the trial period. This transportation, he continued, will serve five routes that connect I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport with tourist objects.
The five tourism routes include: Route 1: I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport – Kuta Central Park – Ubung – Mengwi – Bedugul – Singaraja. Route 2: I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport – Sanur – Ubud – Kintamani – Singaraja. Route 3: Singaraja – Menjangan – West Bali National Park. Route 4: I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport – Goa Lawah – Padangbai – Manggis – Amuk – Amed. Route 5: I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport – Sanur – Klungkung – Besakih. “There are 12 buses serving the five routes targeting tourists,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the electric bus that was launched will serve the Civic Center Renon shuttle – Jl. WR. Supratman – ISI Denpasar – Warmadewa University – Civic Center Renon. According to Samsi, the use of electric buses also implements Governor Regulation No.45 of 2019 concerning Bali Clean Energy and Governor Regulation No.48 of 2019 concerning the Use of Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicles. In addition, it is still related to efforts to restore the national economy to accelerate the recovery of tourist objects.
The electric bus trial will temporarily be prepared for two months. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transportation is also preparing to procure new electric buses. For electric buses and KSPN transportation, there is no tariff or free until the end of the year.
“There is free of charge in the city, KSPN is still free until the evaluation test is finished, then service improvements are carried out. After that, the costs will be determined and how the subsidies from the center will be.
