Good news came from the Badung Regency Health Office (Diskes) as part of the COVID-19 Mitigation Task Force in Badung Regency. After conducting a rapid test of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) quarantined in one of the hotels in the Kuta area which was held on Monday, April 27, of the 55 migrant workers who took the rapid test all were confirmed negative.

Even from the 55 migrant workers, 16 of them were allowed to go home because it was in accordance with the health protocol and had undergone a quarantine period of 14 days. This was conveyed by the Head of Badung Health Office. Dr. I Nyoman Gunarta as the Operations Task Force Coordinator for Covid-19 Mitigation Task Force of Badung regency.

Gunarta further said that on the same day a rapid test was also held at the Hall of Badung House of Representatives Building. This activity is an initial screening of cases that are scattered in Badung Regency so it is the duty of the Health Office to conduct mitigation and surveillance of Covid-19 cases. “This rapid test takes about 15-20 minutes per person per test and to find out the results involving an average of 7-9 medical and paramedical personnel,” he said.

According to him, when the result is negative, there will be a repetition to be checked again (negative false) at least after 7-10 days or around May 5. With the intention of waiting for the formation of antibodies from test subjects to appear to get even more valid results. Meanwhile, if there are positive results, a direct examination will be carried out in the form of SWAB test using the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) method conducted at the hospital. “But because of the Circular Letter from the Governor, if the results of the inspection in the regencies/city are positive rapid then the inspection is transferred to a shelter in the Kuta area where the examination is followed up by the Provincial Task Force,” he explained.

Meanwhile Section Chief of Surveillance and Immunization of Badung Health Office, I Gusti Agung Alit Naya who is also the Coordinator of Prevention in the Task Force said that the targets of the Monday rapid test at the DPRD Building Hall were Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), People Without Symptoms (OTG), People Under Monitoring (ODP) and Non PMI Travelers (PP Non PMI), who underwent independent isolation at home (not quarantine in hotels) with a total of 57 people.
It is said that of the 57 people who underwent rapid test, 1 person showed a reactive (positive) result, where it has been coordinated with the Provincial Task Force, then the Regency Task Force took the person to the shelter in Kuta for then follow-up by the Provincial Task Force by conducting a SWAB test.

Furthermore, Alit Naya reminded again that the schedule of the rapid test, Monday to Wednesday, will be held at the Hall of Badung House of Representatives, for Thursday to Saturday at the Abianbase BKIA in Kuta. For examination on Tuesday, April 28, will be taken from the area of ​​the Puskesmas Mengwi I (Public Health Centre) and the Puskesmas Mengwi II and another rapid test for people who have not been tested this Monday.
