Ratusan Atlet Paragliding Beradu Pada Paragliding Accuracy Asian Cup 2019

Bali patut berbangga, selain banyak dikunjungi wisatawan, berbagai event berskala international sering digelar di Bali. Salah satunya, seperti Paragliding Accuracy Asian Cup 2019.
Pada event ini, bali didapuk menjadi tuan tuan rumah pelaksanaan. Bertempat di Pantai Pandawa, Desa Kutuh, Kuta Selatan, Badung, kegiatan ini berlangsung dari Jumat (16/8/2019) hingga Minggu (18/8/2019).
Ratusan peserta dari sejumlah negara di Asian, seperti Indonesia, India, Korea, Singapura dan Rumania mengikuti kegiatan ini. Dipilihnya Bali dan Pantai Pandawa sebagai titik terbang dan landing atau mendarat, selain sebagai upaya untuk mempromosikan sports tourism di Bali, juga untuk mempromosikan destinasi Pantai Pandawa Desa Kutuh.
Menurut Ketua Harian Federasi Aero Sport Indonesia (FASI) Pusat, Marsda TNI Nazir Syah, kompetisi yang diikuti sebanyak 107 peserta. Yang mana, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menjaga kemampuan para atlit paralayang Indonesia maupun Asia dalam berpalayang baik di tingkat Nasional maupun Internasional. Selain itu, juga untuk meningkatkan prestasi di Nasional dan Internasional. “Kejuaraan ini pada hakekatnya, sebagai bagian dari proses pembinaan atlit sekaligus menguji kemampuan atlit di bidang itu dan diharapkan tercipta rekor-rekor baru,” pungkasnya.
Ketua Paralayang Indonesia, Wahyu Yudha menambahkan, dengan memperebutkan peringkat Nasional, semua atlit yang berasal dari Indonesia hadir disini. Termasuk atlit paradigling Indonesia yang memperoleh emas di Asian Games 2018, ikut menjadi peserta untuk mempertahankan peringkat Nasional yang telah dicapai sebelumnya. (praw)
