After about 6 months of not operating due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Sea Safari Cruise has finally reopened for the Pirate Dinner Cruise trip starting on Saturday (August 15). Even though it has started operating, the number of passengers is still limited in an effort to maintain social distancing between passengers.

As stated by the Director of Sales and Marketing of Sea Safari Cruise, Eva Tanudjaja, from the previous capacity of the ship to 300 people, it is now reduced to continue implementing social distancing. And on the first trip, the number of passengers was only 92 people and that’s already the maximum.

“Especially for the first pirate dinner, it is back in operation after almost 6 months we closed. On the first trip, we implement the health protocol as recommended by the government to guests and staff. Not only that, we also reduce the ship’s capacity by 70 percent,” he said.

After the reopening of Bali for domestic tourists, Sea Safari Cruise since August 2020 is ready to welcome guests with all health protocols in a new life order.

“With the hope that we can take part in restoring Indonesian tourism, especially Bali during the Covid-19 pandemic. Previously the target market was more towards foreign tourists, especially China, Europe, Australia and others, now it only relies on domestic tourists,” he said.

Eva said that Sea Safari Cruise through the Pirate dinner cruise service is the only phinisi boat tour company co-branding with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism to implement the Cleanliness, Health, and Safety (CHS) program. The application of CHS includes disinfecting all areas of the ship before and after the trip, the availability of a sink and hand sanitizer in areas that are easily accessible to guests.

For the safety of visitors, his party requires visitors to wear a mask. It will be prepared by the sea safari cruise. In addition, social distancing is already implemented throughout the ship by reducing 50% of capacity. Not only visitors, crew members are also required to wear a mask or face shields and gloves when carrying out their work. “There is body temperature checking for crews and guests who will enter the ship area,” he explained.

In collaboration with hospitals in operational areas for emergency cases, all SOPs run by sea safari cruises are carried out in accordance with the Ministry of Health and the applicable international standards. The CHS protocol is also applied in the Sea Safari Cruise office environment and implementing regular independent rapid-tests for staff and crew.

“We require guests to show the non-reactive rapid test results. We ask for the rapid test results for guests who do not have a Bali ID card. So for guests without Bali ID card, we ask them to show the results of the non-reactive rapid test which is still valid before entering the vessel” he explained.

To attract domestic tourists, Sea Safari Cruise provides a promo price of 80 percent discount from the previous normal price of Rp 605,000 now only Rp 178,000. Even though the price has been heavily discounted, the party guarantees that it does not reduce the quality of service, food menu and facilities provided to guests. The Rp 178,000 promo will be given until the end of next September.(MBP1)
