Bali has again recieved the Covid-19 vaccine. After the first phase vaccine arrived in Bali on Tuesday (January 5), the second phase vaccine distribution for Bali was carried out again, Thursday (January 7). Located at the Indonesian Air Force Base of I Gusti Ngurah Rai, 11 coli vaccines with details of 10 coli with a total of 20 thousand vaccines and 1 coli containing reagents, arrived in Bali, at 09.48 Central Indonesia Time.

When met after the transfer of vaccines from the plane to the transport truck, the Head of the Personnel Service, Air Force Base of I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Lieutenant Colonel Adm Enos Pasodung S. Sos., said that previously the Garuda Indonesia plane with flight number GA 438 departed from Cengkareng. The aircraft used to transport vaccines distributed by PT. Biofarma, arrived at Air Force Base of I Gusti Ngurah Rai at 09.48 Central Indonesia Time. “This is the second phase of delivery of the vaccine, which is sent by air,” said Lt. Col. Enos.

Furthermore, he said, for delivery this Thursday, the distribution of vaccines for the Bali and Gorontalo regions. Furthermore, this newly arrived vaccine, under close guard, is brought to the Bali Provincial Health Office to be stored in the Cold Room before being distributed to each Regency/ City. “This vaccine will be prioritized for health workers in Bali,” he concluded.

Previously, the Head of the Bali Provincial Health Office, dr. Ketut Suarjaya, said that before distribution, the Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) will first conduct testing phase. “This vaccine will be received and stored in the vaccine storage room (cold room) of the Bali Provincial Health Office before being distributed to all regencies/ city in Bali. Distribution to regencies/ city still awaits a decision from the Central Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM),” he said recently.

Furthermore, Suarjaya said, health workers at the forefront will be the target of this first vaccination. The number of health workers in Bali is 30,320 people. The details are: 1,533 people in Jembrana Regency, 3,118 people in Tabanan Regency, 5,551 people in Badung Regency, 3,134 people in Gianyar Regency, 1,691 people in Klungkung Regency, 1,246 people in Bangli Regency, 1,074 people in Karangasem Regency, 3,590 people in Buleleng Regency, and 9,383 people in Denpasar City.
