 Support The Reopening Of Monkey Forest, Deputy Governor Cok Ace Asks To Keep Implementing Health Protocols

After nearly eight months of being closed to the public due to the Covid-19 pandemic, finally the sacred area of monkey forest, Ubud, Gianyar Regency, was officially reopened to the public, Thursday (November 5). The reopening is carried out in accordance with a good day in Hinduism, so that it is expected to be a good moment for all people visiting the object and of course kept away from the coronavirus which is still endemic in the community.

With the reopening of the tourist object in Gianyar Regency, it is hoped that supporting businesses such as art shops, stalls, and restaurants around it will also be opened. Thus, it will be able to strengthen tourism in Bali and be able to support the recovery of the community’s economy.

Deputy Governor of Bali Tjok Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati or often called Cok Ace, who officially opened this area, warmly welcomed this effort. Even though the active cases of patients have decreased (as of last Wednesday it was recorded as 662 or 5.53%), Deputy Governor Cok Ace requested that a number of efforts starting from implementing health protocols must be carried out during tourist visits to this place.

“Let us together to open ourselves to start actively opening tourism slowly. Because to promote our tourism area is still in good and safe condition, it is necessary for all of us to get back up, one of which is by opening art shops, stalls and cleaning around our residence, for example for residents around the monkey forest and Ubud,” said Deputy Governor Cok Ace.

To support the reopening of monkey forest tourist destination, General Manager of Mandala Suci Wenara Wana I Nyoman Sutarjana said that the implementation of health protocols was carried out strictly. A total of 50 sinks have been prepared in a number of points in the monkey forest area. (MBP1)
