Tanjung Benoa region which is usually crowded with tourists, now looks quiet without tourist activity. From observation in the field, with the absence of tourists, canoes and boats that usually pass by are now just neatly parked. Sometimes these boats look swaying hit by waves.

Towards the new life order, Head of Tanjung Benoa Customary Village Made Wijaya claimed to have done a thorough preparation. Even his party has also held a meeting with related stakeholders to prepare it. “All parties must work together, especially the tourism component, particularly marine tourism,” he said.

As a volunteer in a customary village, he also continues to encourage the community in terms of welcoming new normal. From what has been done, the synergy he said is the most important thing. All stakeholders and village officers continue to give encouragement to the community to be able to rise from adversity. “We must be able to rise because the economy, especially in tourism, is quite disturbed by Covid-19,” said Wijaya who is also a member of the Badung House of Representatives when he was confirmed recently.

He further said that all people have felt the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Of course, all components must not be washed away in adversity. For that, the customary village together with 23 tourism services in Tanjung Benoa through the Gahawisri are actively preparing to welcome the new normal. “We must do positive things and we must rise again from difficulties,” he said.
