Gempa Bumi Mw 6,3, Guncang Bali Selatan

Pada Kamis, (19/3) pukul 00.45.38 WIB telah terjadi gempa tektonik di wilayah Samudera Hindia Selatan Bali-Nusa Tenggara. Dari hasil analisis BMKG menunjukkan gempa bumi ini memiliki parameter awal dengan magnitudo M 6,6 yang kemudian dimutakhirkan menjadi Mw 6,3.
Kepala Pusat Gempabumi dan Tsunami BMKG Rahmat Triyono, ST.,Dipl. Seis., M.Sc., episenter gempabumi terletak pada koordinat 11.4 LS dan 115.04 BT, atau tepatnya berlokasi di laut pada jarak 305 km arah Selatan Kota Denpasar, Bali pada kedalaman 10 km.
“Dengan memperhatikan lokasi episenter dan kedalaman hiposenternya, gempabumi yang terjadi merupakan jenis gempabumi dangkal akibat aktivitas subduksi. Hasil analisis mekanisme sumber menunjukkan bahwa gempabumi memiliki mekanisme pergerakan turun atau normal fault,” katanya dalam keterangan tertulis yang dirilis.
Guncangan gempa bumi ini kata dia, dirasakan di Denpasar, Lombok Tengah, Lombok Timur, Lombok Barat, Kota Mataram IV MMI, Kuta, Sumbawa Barat, Sumbawa, Bima, Dompu, Lombok Utara III MMI . Hingga saat ini belum ada laporan dampak kerusakan yang ditimbulkan akibat gempabumi tersebut.
Menurut Ardian, salah seorang warga yang tinggal di Kuta Selatan, Badung, getaran disasakan cukup keras. Pihaknya sempat terbangun saat merasakan gempa. “Saya sempat kaget, dan langsung bangun dari tempat tidur,” katanya. (praw)
